Our Impact

Happiful. Our mission.

At Happiful our mission is to help create a happier, healthier and more sustainable society. This mission was born from two sisters struggling to find the right mental health support, believing there had to be a better way.

They founded Counselling Directory in 2005, a website connecting members of the public with professional therapists. Since then, more directories have joined the Happiful family, and we have over 30,000 wellbeing professionals in our network.

Happiful magazine ties the network together, publishing stories that showcase the power of speaking up, finding community and getting the support you need. Learn more about how we started and who we are today.

As we continue to make our mission a reality, we focus on four key statements: To raise awareness of mental health, to bring people together, to end the stigma of mental health and to have a positive impact on the world around us.

Our network of directories, our magazine, and the way we operate with values at our heart all help us do this.

Find out what we’ve achieved so far and our vision for the future.

Happiful society

As a team we are small yet mighty, but our reach extends far further than our four walls.

11 million

people connected

We’ve tracked over 11 million connections from clients to therapists on our Happiful Directories. That’s 11 million times someone reached out for support and found a professional ready to listen. Behind every one of those connections is a story – of courage, of healing, or of taking that important first step towards feeling better. We’re honoured to be part of that journey, every single time.

32,000+

Professionals

Giving professionals an easy way to connect with clients, we pride ourselves in the calibre of support offered across our directories. We ensure all professionals are qualified before listing them, so you have peace of mind when searching for support.

140,000+

Readers

Our physical monthly magazine (and free digital version) is packed with positive, actionable and supportive articles which over 140,000 readers have enjoyed.

45

Staff

Our team is strewn across the country but our heart (and office) resides in Surrey. Across all departments, whether design, developers, customer service or content we all have a shared passion for what we do.
