The Happiful Foundation

Supporting charities offering counselling and talking therapies

Our belief

Everyone should have access to support when they need it.

Local and nationwide charities are providing life-changing counselling services, often with limited funding and increasing demand.

We want to support and help grow the work these charities are already doing through direct and meaningful donations.

Who are we?

Happiful

A mental health and wellbeing platform where people can connect with uplifting, expert-led content as well as find professional support services through our five wellbeing directories.

Counselling Directory

Our core directory connects people with professional, verified counsellors across the UK. Founded in 2005, Counselling Directory has connected more than 10 million people to qualified counsellors in private practice.

Through the Happiful Foundation, we’re donating to UK charities that are delivering counselling services to their beneficiaries.

“Counselling Directory was founded in 2005 with a clear mission – to help more people access the support they need. That mission has remained at the heart of everything we do, and The Happiful Foundation is our next step in delivering on our mission. We’re incredibly passionate about supporting the work of charities offering counselling in their communities, and proud that we can now contribute directly to this vital work.”

– Amy-Jean Burns, CEO at Happiful

Existing partnerships

Place2Be

Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity with over 30 years’ experience working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools. They provide mental health support in schools through one-to-one and group counselling. Our donation will directly support these counselling services.

Hart Voluntary Action

Hart Voluntary Action delivers a range of services directly supporting local residents. Our donation is going towards the charity's incredible walk and talk counselling service.

Headroom

Headroom is a local charity that offers free, confidential one-to-one counselling for young people aged 11-25 living in Rushmoor, Hart or Farnham. Our donation will help to fund this important work.

Just the beginning...

This is just the beginning for us. We are reaching out to further charities and will be monitoring the impact to ensure donations are making a real difference in people's lives.

Watch this space for more updates as we continue to grow the Happiful Foundation and support charities creating safe and accessible pathways to mental health support.

Together, we can help ensure more people receive the counselling they need, when they need it most.

Our vision

We’re on a mission to create a healthier, happier, more sustainable society.
